NEXT ROUND IS SQUARE – Fog settled on the Brazos Valley much of this week, but this pasture's farmer was clear on what to do: bale rounds and squares. No doubt some of the squares will show up in autumn decorations. But the Texas Department of Agriculture also notes that some hay producers have opted to put up large rounds instead of higher quality small squares, which now are in tighter supply. The agriculture agency said a larger than normal supply of large rounds have been fairly hard to move where needed, and moving the smaller bales may be easier.
