FLOODS ARE MORE THAN JUST WATER OVER THE BRIDGE
COLLEGE STATION - Texas has been know to have its share of floods.
According to information from National Flood Insurance Program
(http://www.fema.gov/nfip/sign1000.shtm ), flooding occurs on a fairly regular basis in the Lone Star State. Floods that resulted in 1,500 or more paid losses happened in 1979, 1981, 1989, 1992, 1994, 1998 and 2002 - sometimes twice in one year.

Recent heavy rains in parts of Central Texas and the Hill Country have
left thousands of Texas families facing an enormous amount of cleaning up.

LIVESTOCK SURVIVING THE FLOOD NEED IMMEDIATE CARE
CORPUS CHRISTI -- Although the rains were welcome for most of South and
Central Texas, the flood waters of the San Antonio, Guadalupe, Colorado
and other rivers caused many head of livestock to be lost and perhaps
drowned as rising water cut off access to pastures and ranges in river
bottoms.

When heavy rains send overflow waters into homes, leaving
