Rainwater Harvesting Seminar Will Tap into Natural Resource

FORT WORTH – A day-long conference in Fort Worth will focus on harvesting rainwater for use in landscape, said a Texas Cooperative Extension specialist.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 11 at 2300 Campus Drive. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The fee is $35. Lunch is included.

Sessions will be led by Extension program specialist Dotty Woodson.

Conference topics include rainwater harvesting basics, an introduction to Texas water resources and drip irrigation, she said.

The program also will include a tour of a community garden rainwater harvesting system.
